Lead Oak Outreach Programs

Partnering with organisations with same objective is one of the platforms used by Lead Oak Women and Children Foundation to impact as many lives as possible. Church Plus (an arm of Church of God Mission international) based on their own assessment requested the Foundation to start up a Project Center at their location. The Lead Oak team was at the Church venue for an inaugural outing of which 10 women and 51 children were in attendance. 30 children were within the vulnerable age range of 0-5 years; and thus, were screened using anthropometric measurements (weight, height, head and arm circumference) in other to identify the malnourished children. At the end of the exercise, 50 packs of the Nutrimeal were distributed. Continue to see pictures of the event.....

TRAINING AT THE SKILL ACQUISITION CENTRE

The educational reformer Adelaide Hoodless said “Educate a boy, and you educate an individual. Educate a girl, and you educate a community.” Most of the women under our Equip a Mother program are mothers of our registered children. They are enrolled to be trained because a majority of them are uneducated, unemployed, with nominal skills. Once registered, they are engaged in weekly seminars for about 30 – 45 minutes on health education and personal development.
