Equip a Mother Program

On the last Friday of every month, there is a skill acquisition program organised for the mothers. It involves a practical, interactive and highly collaborative session handled by different facilitators teaching skills such as soap making, preparation of local snacks, and preparation of the Nutrimeal etc.
Thanks to a partnership with Medical Women Association of Nigeria, Edo State Chapter (MWAN), we are provided with female doctors to handle the health talk (topics include Family Planning, Immunization, Hygiene, Nutrition, First aid, Home Management of certain illnesses) segments with the women.
On this day, there is also a free distribution of clothing items, shoes, toiletries, food and household items (free will donations) and of course, the Nutrimeal for the mothers and the children.

A volunteer nurse addressing the participants on the importance of family planning.
