FEED A CHILD PROGRAM

The Feed a Child Program is organized every Friday, scores of women come with their children to participate in the program. The children are then registered on the program and given registration cards to help for identification. After the registration, the anthropometry of each child is taken and the children are placed on our Nutrimeal made from corn, soyabeans and groundnut to ensure proper diet.

Each child is given 1 kg of Nutrimeal weekly. Some other very beneficial gift items like clothes, shoes, soaps and toiletries are also given to the women and children on the last Friday on each month. The women also benefit from various healthcare awareness campaign on different topics delivered by seasoned professionals weekly.

FEED A CHILD

 FEED A CHILD PROJECT.
This project is targeted at malnourished and vulnerable children of 0(6 months)-5 years. Registered children receive free 1 kg pack of Nutrimeal (it’s our special meal made from corn, soya beans, groundnut and crayfish) on a weekly basis.

At registration, the children are weighed and other anthropometric measurements taken which are subsequently monitored on a monthly basis.

There is regular monitoring and evaluation of the health of the children and provision is made available for certain health interventions and treatments.

We partner monthly with a free school for orphans and vulnerable children (Renaissance Academy) to ensure the provision of one nutritious meal a day for the orphans.

The medical women association of Nigeria (MWAN), Edo state chapter, partners with us to provide scientific support with the research arm of the project.
